Assistant Production Manager - Carpentry & Joinery

We are looking for an Assistant Production Manager to support the management of day-to-day factory and production operations.

The role will work closely with the management and production teams to ensure smooth production, effective manpower and material coordination, quality standards and timely project delivery. The successful candidate should have a strong technical understanding of carpentry and joinery, together with hands-on production or factory experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily factory and production operations.
• Plan and monitor production activities and project progress.
• Coordinate manpower, materials and production priorities.
• Work closely with production teams to resolve operational and technical issues.
• Review production/shop drawings and ensure requirements are clearly communicated.
• Coordinate with suppliers on materials and production requirements.
• Monitor quality, productivity and work standards.
• Support factory safety, housekeeping and operational requirements.
• Assist management in identifying opportunities to improve production efficiency.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Construction, Carpentry, Interior Design, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in factory or production operations.
• Experience in carpentry, joinery, interior fit-out or Design & Build is preferred.
• Good knowledge of carpentry, joinery, materials and fabrication processes.
• Able to understand and interpret shop/production drawings.
• Good coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on, proactive and able to work under pressure.
• Experience supervising or coordinating production teams will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with WSH and workplace safety requirements is preferred.
