Learning and Development Coordinator

The Learning and Development Coordinator/Senior Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of a range of skills development programmes and workshops for our lawyers and Business Team in the APAC region. They will work closely with other members of the regional and global HLC Lead & Learn team and other key internal stakeholders to coordinate and execute engaging and effective learning opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the Head of Learning & Development - APAC to plan, coordinate and deliver in-person milestone programmes for lawyers across the APAC region
- Lead the coordination and planning of in-person and virtual professional skills workshops and other development activities for members of the Business Team in APAC, in collaboration with the Learning & Development Assistant Manager – EMEA, with minimal supervision
- Lead in the planning and coordination of professional core skills workshops and Launch for the APAC region
- Support the design of workshops alongside the Head of Learning & Development – APAC and external providers
- Co-facilitating selected in-person and virtual training sessions for junior lawyers and the APAC Business Team
- Lead the regional administrative support for our LMS under the supervision of the global team
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the regional Head of Learning & Development in co-ordinating training, project planning and budgeting
- Coordinate training resources, including materials, budgets and external vendors (whether faculty or providers of other services such as hotels, restaurants etc.), to support the efficient and cost-effective delivery of development initiatives
- Lead the review and evaluation of development offerings, gathering feedback and preparing reports
- Maintain training records, curriculum databases and learning management systems
- Lead in the preparation of internal promotional communications such as newsletters and welcome emails
- Actively build/maintain relationships with internal and external faculty to support programme delivery and participant engagement
Specific duties or responsibilities may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changes inpersonnel and management structure, staff location or services.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE/KEY ATTRIBUTES
- Several years' experience of working in a professional services environment in a Learning and Development role
- High level of organizational skills. An organised and thorough approach to work with good attention to detail
- Professional certification in learning and developmentis desirable
- Some experience in design or facilitation is preferred
- Strong knowledge of the MS Office suite of applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, excellent video conferencing skills (Teams, Zoom, interactive software for polling, quizzes etc.), and proficiency in using learning management systemssuch as CSOD and other training technologies
- Desire and willingness to develop as a facilitator is essential
- Builds and maintains relationships of trust and courtesy with colleagues and internal clients at all levels, and with external contacts
- Collaborative team player, able to work effectively as part of a global team
- Pro-active and self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning
- Resilient and able to work under pressure
- Willingness to travel as required (including overseas) to deliver programs in line with business needs
