The PeopleSoft Administrator will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring, support, and optimization of PeopleSoft applications and related environments for NCS. The role ensures system availability, performance, security, and reliability while supporting business users, technical teams, and application stakeholders.
What will you do
- Administer, monitor, and maintain PeopleSoft application environments, including application servers, process schedulers, web servers, and related components.
- Perform routine system health checks, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Support PeopleSoft environment management activities, including migrations, refreshes, patching, upgrades, and configuration changes.
- Manage user access, roles, permissions, and security administration in accordance with organizational policies.
- Coordinate with functional, technical, infrastructure, and database teams to resolve system issues and implement enhancements.
- Support deployment of PeopleSoft objects, patches, bundles, fixes, and change requests across environments.
- Monitor batch jobs, scheduled processes, integrations, and system interfaces to ensure successful completion and timely resolution of failures.
- Assist in backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities related to PeopleSoft systems.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, system configuration records, and support logs.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes, ensuring compliance with IT governance standards.
- Provide support during audits by supplying relevant system access, configuration, and operational information.
- Recommend improvements to system performance, stability, automation, and administrative processes.
- Provide support for SFTP(RSIT) connectivity, SLIFT& PGP encryption and decryption activities.
- Provide Support for AutoSys workload automation for scheduling and monitoring PeopleSoft batch jobs and processes.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent professional experience in PeopleSoft administration or enterprise application support may be considered.
Experience Requirements
- The candidate should have relevant professional experience in PeopleSoft administration, application support, system monitoring, troubleshooting, environment management, and enterprise application operations.
- Experience requirements may be adjusted based on NCS internal grading standards for the P2 level.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Hands-on experience in PeopleSoft administration and support.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft architecture, including application server, process scheduler, web server, integration broker, and security components.
- Experience with People Tools administration, configuration, patching, and migration activities.
- Understanding of database concepts and ability to coordinate with database administrators for troubleshooting and performance support.
- Familiarity with operating systems commonly used in enterprise application environments.
- Ability to monitor system performance, analyse logs, troubleshoot errors, and resolve application environment issues.
- Knowledge of change management, release management, and incident management processes.
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based enterprise IT environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience configuring and supporting SFTP file transfers between PeopleSoft and external/internal systems.
- Configure SFTP jobs for inbound and outbound file processing.
- Troubleshoot file-transfer failures, authentication issues, missing files, permissions, and connectivity problems.
- Manage SSH keys, directories, file permissions, and transfer schedules.
- Monitor automated file transfers and validate successful delivery/receipt of files.
- Coordinate with integration and security teams for SFTP connectivity and key-management activities.
- Hands-on experience with SLIFT & PGP encryption and decryption for secure file transfers.
- Configure automated SLIFT &PGP encryption for outbound files and SLIFT & PGP decryption for inbound files.
- Manage SLIFT & PGP public/private keys, passphrases, key expiration, and key rotation.
- Troubleshoot SLIFT & PGP issues such as invalid/expired keys, decryption failures, signature verification failures, and corrupted files.
- Integrate SLIFT & PGP encryption/decryption with SFTP and AutoSys jobs.
- Validate encrypted/decrypted files and ensure secure transfer of sensitive data.
- Coordinate with infra team for SLIFT & PGP key exchange and renewal.
- Experience with AutoSys workload automation for scheduling and monitoring PeopleSoft batch jobs and processes.
- Create, modify, and maintain AutoSys jobs, job boxes, dependencies, calendars, and alerts.
- Monitor job execution and troubleshoot failed, stuck, or delayed jobs.
- Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams for batch-job failures and production incidents.
- Manage job dependencies between PeopleSoft Process Scheduler, SFTP, and downstream/upstream applications.
- Performs job reruns, holds, and restarts following production support procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting PeopleSoft Financials, Human Capital Management, or other enterprise PeopleSoft modules.
- Exposure to PeopleSoft upgrades, patching cycles, environment refreshes, and production support operations.
- Experience working in managed services, government, public sector, or large enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of automation or scripting for administrative tasks.
- Familiarity with ITIL-based service management processes.
- Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams across applications, infrastructure, security, and business operations.
