APAC Senior Post Trade Operations Manager

Purpose

The APAC Senior Post Trade Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight, control and continuous improvement of post-trade activities across securities finance and related products. The role ensures accurate, timely and controlled processing across settlements, corporate actions, dividends, reconciliations and regulatory obligations and reporting.

The role acts as a senior escalation point, supports strategic change initiatives and works closely with Front Office, Technology, Risk, Finance and external market participants. The role will handle internal system projects and build out knowledge within the team of functionality from Global Position Inventory Tools.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

• Oversee daily post-trade processing activities across securities finance operations.
• Ensure settlement, corporate action activities and cash management are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
• Monitor operational performance and drive resolution of exceptions and breaks.
• Maintain strong operational controls and procedures.

Risk & Control

• Identify operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Manage escalations involving settlement fails, reconciliation breaks and operational incidents.
• Ensure activities are performed in accordance with internal policies and market requirements, including SFTR.
• Support audits, compliance reviews and control testing.

Leadership

• Provide day-to-day leadership and coaching to operations teams.
• Manage workload allocation, training and development.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Change & Transformation

• Lead operational projects and system enhancements.
• Support implementation of new products, markets and regulatory requirements.
• Review and improve procedures to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
• Partner with technology teams on automation and process optimisation.

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships with Front Office, Technology, Finance, Compliance and Risk teams.
• Maintain effective engagement with clients, counterparties, custodians and market infrastructure providers.
• Provide clear communication and reporting to senior management.

Experience

Essential

• 25+ years experience within securities finance, post-trade operations, clearing or custody environments

• Market infrastructure experience (Euroclear, custodians, tri-party platforms).
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting and operational risk frameworks.
