Inside Sales Executive

Work Arrangement: Office-based (5 days per week)
About the Role
We are looking for a driven and proactive Inside Sales Executive to join a well-established freight forwarding and logistics company in Singapore. This role is focused on lead generation, qualification, and sales support – helping the external sales team close more deals by filling the pipeline with quality leads.
You will be the first point of contact for many prospective clients, so a confident, professional, and customer-oriented approach is essential.
This role requires you to be in the office 5 days a week to ensure a strong onboarding experience and effective communication with the team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Qualification
- Identify and qualify sales leads through proactive outreach and cold calling
- Respond promptly to inbound queries via phone and email
- Understand prospect needs and assess fit before passing to the sales team
Prospect Engagement
- Build relationships with prospective customers to understand their business requirements and challenges
- Communicate value propositions clearly and professionally
Sales Support
- Support the external sales team by providing detailed information on prospect needs and lead status
- Ensure a warm handoff of vetted leads for further development
Collaboration
- Work closely with Relationship Management, Sales Leadership, Marketing, and other internal teams
- Share insights on prospective customer accounts to drive sales activities
CRM Management
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all lead management activities in the CRM system (Salesforce)
- Ensure proper lead assignment and tracking
Product Knowledge
- Develop a strong understanding of the company's freight forwarding and logistics solutions
- Stay updated on industry trends to pitch products effectively
Internal & External Networking
- Participate in internal product meetings, sales training, and mentorship opportunities
- Attend sales meetings, business reviews, and support product demonstrations as needed
Requirements
- Diploma in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in inside sales, lead generation, or sales support, preferably in logistics or freight forwarding
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (phone and email)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce experience is a plus)
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable with cold calling
