Pharmacy Assistant - Pharmacy Packing Services (PPS)

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to support the daily operations of the Pharmacy Packing Services (PPS). You will play an important role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely preparation and supply of medications through both manual and automated processes.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 8.00am to 5.00pm (60-minute break)
• Alternate Saturday: 5 hours

Key Responsibilities

Pharmacy Operations Support

• Assist in the preparation, packing, and labelling of medications, including nursing home supplies
• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with non-clinical medication-related tasks
• Adhere to pharmacy policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures

Automation & Packing Support

• Assist in loading and unloading medications for automated packing systems (ATDPS)
• Perform deboxing and deblistering of medications from primary packaging
• Support basic maintenance of packing machines and work areas
• Report any machine issues or process irregularities to pharmacy technicians or pharmacists

Inventory & Stock Management

• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and shelving of pharmacy stock
• Ensure proper storage of medications following First-In-First-Out (FIFO) principles
• Support stock rotation, expiry checks, and general housekeeping of storage areas
• Assist in stock counts and inventory verification when required

Housekeeping & Administrative Duties

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of pharmacy and packing areas
• Support documentation, filing, and record-keeping activities
• Assist in billing processes related to medication supply
• Perform other duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations

Requirements

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level qualification
• Strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility
• Team player with good working attitude
• Prior experience in pharmacy, healthcare, or logistics is an advantage but not required (training provided)
