Assistant Finance Manager (F&B Industry)
We are partnering with a growing F&B group to hire an Assistant Finance Manager to support the Head of Finance in managing the full spectrum of finance operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, multi-outlet environment and is keen to drive both operational excellence and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full spectrum of finance operations including GL, AP, AR, and month-end closing for F&B outlets and HQ
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management reports, financial analysis, and variance commentary
- Ensure proper revenue recognition, daily sales reconciliation, and outlet performance reporting
- Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and daily takings from multiple retail/F&B outlets
- Review supplier payments, payroll journals, and operational expenses in compliance with internal controls
- Manage GST submissions and ensure compliance with Singapore accounting and tax regulations
- Support audit, tax, and statutory reporting requirements
- Maintain and improve financial processes, controls, and SOPs across outlets
- Drive digitalisation initiatives including POS system integration, automation, and reporting improvements
- Supervise and guide junior finance staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations
- Work closely with operations, procurement, and store managers to support business performance
- Support ad-hoc finance projects and system enhancement initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in F&B, retail, hospitality, or multi-outlet business
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
- Strong knowledge of full-set accounting, GST, and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards
- Experience handling outlet-based revenue, cash flow, and sales reconciliation is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience in month-end closing and management reporting
- Proficient in accounting systems (SAP, Xero, QuickBooks or similar) and MS Excel
- Strong analytical skills with a process improvement mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment
- Good leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
