Fundamental Equity Research Analyst

Roles & Responsibilities

• Screen the universe of public equities to identify potential investment opportunities that meet the team’s investment criteria.
• Generate alpha-driven, original and differentiated investment ideas based on fundamental research and market analysis.
• Conduct in-depth company research and study annual reports, earnings call transcripts, and proxy statements. Create valuation analyses and write company and industry reports.
• Engage in primary research, data collection, thematic research, and other fundamental research initiatives.
• Monitor sector, market and economic conditions.
• Take on ad-hoc industry related projects.

Requirements

• Possess strong integrity and uphold high standards of ethical conduct, with zero tolerance for misconduct.
• No minimum years of professional experience is required. However, candidates must demonstrate relevant investment experience and a proven ability to evaluate companies across multiple sectors and business models.
• Strong ability to apply a bottom-up fundamental research approach to equity analysis and investment idea generation.
• Highly motivated individual, intellectually curious with growth mindset, passion for learning, detail driven, analytical, hardworking and comfortable working independently.
• Passionate about industry analysis, business strategy, and financial modelling.
• University graduate with strong in analytical skills and advance degree in physics, computer science or mathematics or engineering.
• Able to work autonomously as well as in teams.
• Programming experience is a plus.
• Able to use AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency.
