Infrastructure Engineer (Junior / Mid Level)

Job Duties

• Perform daily monitoring and support of infrastructure systems to ensure high availability and stability.
• Provide first-line and second-line troubleshooting for infrastructure incidents and service disruptions.
• Execute approved changes including server configuration, patching, and system updates.
• Monitor system health, alerts, and performance using enterprise monitoring tools and respond promptly.
• Carry out routine patch management for operating systems, applications, and infrastructure components.
• Ensure backup jobs are running successfully and perform periodic restoration checks when required.
• Support incident, problem, and change management processes in accordance with ITIL practices.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, operational procedures, and system records.
• Assist in vulnerability remediation and ensure compliance with government security standards and policies.
• Work with internal teams, vendors, and managed service providers to resolve infrastructure issues.

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in infrastructure support, system administration, or IT operations.
• Knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or government cloud environments is an advantage.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes including incident, problem, and change management.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar platforms.
• Basic scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation purposes.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, patch management, and vulnerability handling.
