Chinese Cuisine Chef - Orchard (From 5 Days, $3,000-$4,500)

We are looking for a Chinese Cuisine Chef to join our casual restaurant in the Orchard area. Our restaurant serves ramen and casual Chinese dishes in a fast-paced and friendly environment.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Chinese wok cooking and be able to handle a wok independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook casual Chinese dishes
• Handle wok cooking independently
• Prepare wok-fried and deep-fried dishes
• Handle daily mise en place and ingredient preparation
• Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation and portioning
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
• Assist with stock preparation, storage and inventory
• Follow food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
• Work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen team members

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of professional kitchen experience
• Must have hands-on experience in Chinese wok cooking and be able to handle a wok independently
• Experience in Chinese cuisine or casual Chinese restaurants is preferred
• Good knife skills and understanding of kitchen operations
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Responsible and reliable
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Able to work weekends and public holidays
• Food hygiene certification is an advantage

Salary

SGD $3,000 – $4,500 per month, depending on experience, ability and working schedule.
