Core Responsibilities

Chip Design: Create circuit schematics and floorplans using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Process Engineering: Optimize fabrication steps like etching, wafer bonding, and thin-film deposition to boost production yield.
Equipment Maintenance: Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair high-precision cleanroom and assembly machinery.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Run performance simulations, inspect for defects, and verify components meet strict operational targets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software, electrical, and materials engineers alongside external foundry partners

Process Engineer: Focuses on chemical and physical steps to maximize silicon wafer yield (often via firms like TSMC).
Equipment Engineer: Manages the mechanical and electrical reliability of fab tools.
