About the opportunity

A global technology group is seeking a Regional Legal Counsel to support its cybersecurity and payment services businesses across Southeast Asia.

This role combines commercial legal advisory with hands-on contract management throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

Draft and negotiate customer, partner and subcontractor agreements

Support tenders, contract variations, extensions and new project phases

Manage contractual risks, obligations, claims, notices and amendments during project execution

Advise project and business teams on practical legal and commercial solutions

Support disputes, investigations and external counsel management

Assist with third-party screening and compliance matters, including antitrust, anti-corruption, data protection and trade compliance

Improve contract templates, processes and training materials

Requirements

Recognised law degree or equivalent legal qualification

At least 4 years’ PQE with relevant in-house legal and contract management experience

Experience working within an international or multinational environment

Strong commercial contracting, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills

Business-level Mandarin proficiency to communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking clients and stakeholders

Able to provide pragmatic, business-focused advice

Comfortable working across different jurisdictions and cultures

Willing to travel regionally approximately once a month
