The Singapore University of Social Sciences seeks candidates for a renewable contract appointment as a Research Engineer.

Design and develop full-stack applications for threat detection and escalation.
Develop backend logic for data anonymization and privacy abstraction layers.
Implement database schemas for consent verification and contact hierarchies.
Design and implement asynchronous messaging pipelines and queue mechanisms for reliable alert dispatching.
Build secure API endpoints for data exchange across system modules.
Execute backend unit testing and functional verification in a controlled environment.

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
Strong software engineering skills with experience in building web and mobile applications.
Familiarity with data protection frameworks, API design, and backend testing tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile development setup.
