Gym Counter staff

Job Summary

Support daily operations at SUTD Sports Recreation Complex and Fitness Centre by managing gym memberships, handling customer inquiries, assisting with gym activities, and coordinating sports events and bookings.

Responsibilities

• Process gym membership sign-ups and respond to membership-related queries to ensure smooth customer onboarding
• Manage telephone call inquiries and perform accurate data entry to maintain up-to-date records
• Assist in daily gym operations to support facility functionality and member satisfaction
• Coordinate and manage sports events and bookings to optimize facility usage and member engagement

Required competencies and certifications

• Communicate clearly and write proficiently in English to interact effectively with members and colleagues
• Hold a valid Standard First Aid certification including Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to respond to emergencies
• Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office and MS Excel to perform administrative and data management tasks
• Exhibit proactivity and technological aptitude to support gym operations and member services
• Possess at least one year of customer service experience to handle member interactions professionally
• Minimum ‘O’ level qualification to meet basic educational requirements

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Availability to work at least three days per week, including weekends, to support operational coverage
• Reside in the East Side of Singapore to facilitate timely attendance

Other Information

Location and Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: Split shifts between 7:00am and 10:00pm
• Saturday and Sunday: Split or full shifts between 8:00am and 7:00pm

Compensation:

• Hourly rate $9 to $12 (starting at $9 for first 3 months, increasing to $10 thereafter)
