Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, production schedules, and company standards.

• Handle food preparation including cutting, marinating, seasoning, cooking, and portioning.

• Ensure food is prepared consistently in terms of taste, quality, and presentation.

• Pack and label cooked food accurately for delivery to outlets or customers.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment, and work areas.

• Follow food safety, workplace safety, and hygiene procedures.

• Check ingredients and report shortages or quality issues to the supervisor.

• Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food ingredients.

• Minimize food wastage and use ingredients efficiently.

• Perform other kitchen duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a cook or kitchen assistant is preferred.

• Experience in a central kitchen, restaurant, catering, or food production environment is an advantage.

• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking methods.

• Able to follow recipes, instructions, and production schedules.

• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.

• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and handle kitchen equipment.

• Responsible, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.

• Willing to work shifts, weekends, or public holidays when required.

• Relevant food safety certification is an advantage.
