Kitchen Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and organised Kitchen Assistant to join us in a brand new small-scale bistro serving modern fusion cuisine. Think creative dishes that blend Western classics (pastas, grilled steaks) with rich Asian flavor profiles.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Station Prep & Setup: Prepare base ingredients, sauces, marinades, and garnishes accurately prior to service opening.
• Line Cooking: Cook and plate orders, grill steaks to requested doneness, and execute fried/cold items efficiently according to standard recipes.
• Multitasking: Manage multiple tickets simultaneously while maintaining consistent quality and presentation.
• Cleanliness & Maintenance: Clean down stations after service, ensure proper labeling and date-tagging of stored food items.

Prerequisites & Skills

• Experience: Comfortable handling various kitchen equipment and passion for cooking is a must. Experience in a commercial kitchen preferred but not necessary.
• Certifications: Valid Food Hygiene / Food Safety Certification.
• Attributes: Able to work under pressure, detail-oriented, good communication skills.

• Working days: Wednesday - Sunday (5 full days)
