Senior Procurement Buyer / Material Planner (East | Up to $6800) #HJO

Job Responsibilities

• Review and analyse material requirements based on production plans and MRP requirements to ensure continuity of supply.
• Generate Purchase Orders and manage scheduling and rescheduling of materials according to manufacturing requirements.
• Manage supplier relationships, proactively identify potential supply risks and resolve material availability issues.
• Develop and implement improvement plans for underperforming suppliers and monitor supplier performance.
• Drive supply chain system and process improvements while ensuring purchasing and material data integrity.
• Manage purchasing workflows within SAP and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve system and invoice discrepancies.
• Review and resolve supplier-related NCRs and drive initiatives to reduce recurring quality issues.
• Participate in supplier audits and prepare relevant audit reports.
• Manage purchasing specification changes and initiate required document change activities.
• Represent Purchasing in cross-functional projects involving new product development and product transfers.
• Ensure purchasing processes comply with applicable SOX, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485 and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
• Around 5–8 years of relevant experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Assurance or Material Planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in purchasing management and supplier relationship management.
• Good understanding of ERP/MRP concepts with hands-on SAP experience.
• Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments and standards such as ISO 13485 will be an advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex supply issues.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
