Part time Art teacher/Assistant

Job Summary

Joyme Art Studio at Jurong East Centre seeks a passionate Art Teacher assistant to instruct and inspire students aged 4 to adult, fostering creativity and skill development through engaging lessons and effective communication with students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of art rooms and materials to ensure a conducive learning environment
• Provide individual and group guidance to students to support their creation and completion of art projects
• Prepare, organize, and replenish art and craft supplies, tools, and learning resources before each lesson to ensure smooth class flow
• Assist in organizing, decorating, and curating school art exhibitions to showcase student artwork effectively
• Support studio operations and program events by providing logistical and administrative assistance
• Communicate patiently and effectively with students of diverse age groups to foster engagement and learning
• Independently manage studio cleanliness and organization with attention to detail and responsibility
• Adapt to working weekday nights and weekends to support peak studio hours

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Prior experience in visual arts or a strong passion for art and craft mediums
• Experience volunteering or working with children in educational or enrichment studio settings
