We intend to recruit a full-time Research Fellow for the lead faculty of the ADVANcing Clinical Evidence in Infectious Diseases Network (ADVANCE-ID).
The Research Fellow will be working closely with the Associate Professor Mo Yin and Assistant Professor Cai Yiying to deliver ADVANCE ID’s aims and objectives.
Job Description
- To work with the lead investigators on collaborative and international research nationally and globally
- Prepare and coordinate research ethics protocols
- Assist in developing and submitting research grant proposals
- Oversee and manage projects (i.e. develop research objectives and study design, perform data extraction and data collation, conduct data modelling, perform statistical analysis), with guidance
- Design and perform qualitative and quantitative health technology assessments (cost analysis, cost effectiveness analysis, budget impact analysis, surveys, focus group discussions, discrete choice experiments, structured expert elicitation), with guidance
- Perform statistical analyses and other data analyses
- Draft research abstracts and manuscripts
- Prepare and present materials for stakeholders
- Support the dissemination of research outcomes through appropriate channels and outlets including guidelines and policy recommendations
- Be involved in capacity building in the region by supporting workshops and relevant training activities
- Assist with the supervision of research students, interns and research assistants where required
- Support other secretariat and administrative functions of ADVANCE-ID as necessary
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in a relevant discipline, such as health technology assessment, health economics, epidemiology, public health, health services research, clinical research, or a related field
- At least two years of relevant experience in clinical research or health services research
- Demonstrated experience of HTA methodologies and evidence assessment, including the ability to critically appraise evidence and assess the potential benefits, risks, outcomes, and impacts of health technologies to inform decision-making
- Demonstrated experience in translating complex evidence into clear, decision-relevant impact assessments will be beneficial
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports, presentations, technical papers, and publications, and to present findings clearly to technical, policy, clinical, and other stakeholder audiences
- Highly organised and able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
