Job Summary

Lead and develop engineering teams across Singapore and Malaysia to drive technical excellence, during project execution, and business growth in data centre cooling technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the teams across Singapore and Malaysia to build technical competency and reduce external dependencies.
  • Establish and enforce technical standards and governance for tender reviews and project execution.
  • Serve as the local technical authority for complex technical decisions and factory escalations.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to develop capabilities in emerging technologies, including liquid cooling solutions.
  • Develop organizational capability by coaching, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Set clear performance expectations and accountability frameworks for team members.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for major technical issues to maintain quality standards.
  • Act as the primary interface for complex technical discussions with headquarters, Asia Hub, and factories.
  • Partner with Local and Regional Sales teams to provide technical support for strategic opportunities and customer presentations.
  • Improve the transition process from Sales to Project Execution to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure technical decisions align with business objectives and customer needs.

Required competencies and certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 20 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years in data centre cooling technologies with leadership in engineering or technical management.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with customers, regional teams, headquarters, and manufacturing partners.
  • Proven leadership experience in building and managing multidisciplinary engineering teams within regional or international organizations.
  • Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and change management skills demonstrated through driving organizational transformation and capability building.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end product lifecycle including technical solution development, product management, R&D, manufacturing, and testing.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of data centre cooling solutions such as CRAH, CRAC, AHU, Chiller systems, and liquid cooling technologies.
