Job Summary
Manage full sets of accounts and financial reporting to ensure accurate, timely month-end and year-end closings while supporting compliance and process improvements in a mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage full sets of accounts including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare and maintain monthly management accounts, financial reports, and schedules to support business decision-making
- Execute month-end and year-end closing activities accurately and within deadlines to ensure timely financial reporting
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable by following up on outstanding payments and supplier invoices to maintain cash flow
- Record all accounting transactions with proper documentation to ensure compliance and audit readiness
- Manage cash inflows and outflows while maintaining accurate cash records to support liquidity management
- Assist in preparing monthly cash flow projections to forecast company financial position
- Prepare GST submissions and other statutory reports in compliance with applicable regulations to meet legal requirements
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, suppliers, customers, and relevant authorities to facilitate smooth financial operations
- Support annual audit and tax preparation by providing necessary documents and explanations to auditors and tax agents
- Review accounting entries to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Assist in improving accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Perform other finance and accounting duties or ad-hoc assignments as assigned by the Finance Team Lead to support team objectives
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Possess a recognized Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or its equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior accounting role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables
- Experience with financial management software, such as SAP B1, is a plus
- Self-motivated with strong initiative, critical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, independence, and a strong sense of responsibility as a results-oriented team player
- Commitment to working efficiently and accurately
- Proficiency in English language to communicate effectively in financial and business contexts
