About the Role
TECHNIQUES AIR-CONDITIONING & ENGINEERING PTE LTD is a leading specialist in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) engineering solutions. Our expertise covers the full project lifecycle from planning, engineering design and installation to testing, commissioning and maintenance. We support clients from multi industries like data centres, pharmaceutical manufacturing, telecommunications facilities, healthcare, semiconductors, and other specialized environments. It has a 90,000-square-foot pre-fabrication facility equipped with smart production systems to support its growing project portfolio.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for highly motivated Project Engineers to join our dynamic team.
What you’ll be doing
- Assist the Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing project plans at site.
- Support project administration; including planning, cost control, work-in-progress monitoring, and adherence to quality standards.
- Review and ensure proper documentation of all quality records ie. material submittals, equipment calibration results, site inspection records and regular progress report updates.
- Resolve design and technical issues in a timely manner.
- Review of Requests for Information (RFI) and Document Acceptance Requests (DARS) with timely response to sub-contractors and clients respectively.
- Periodically monitor the inspection guidelines and conduct quality inspection to ensure on-site installation works is in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Assist in testing and commissioning activities of the completed system.
- Ensure the contractor’s work procedures is in compliance with the method statement and Health & Safety (H&S) policy.
- Prompt reporting of non-conforming works and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Verify materials delivered at site and ensure compliance with approved material submissions and project specifications.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager from time to time.
What we’re looking for
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Entry-level university graduates are welcome to apply. Diploma holders must have at least 2-3 years of working experience in the related field
- Is self-motivated, possess strong technical knowledge and aptitude for problem-solving; with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
- Candidates with experience in the construction sector for data centre, semiconductor, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, public and commercial sectors will be advantageous
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- 5.5-day work week (Alternate Saturday Off)
