KYC Manager – Compliance (6-12 months contract)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced KYC Manager to lead and oversee KYC and Customer Due Diligence activities, ensuring compliance with AML/CFT regulations while supporting a small team and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance onboarding and review processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee KYC processes for new and existing customers, including banks and corporate clients, to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Complete customer onboarding, periodic reviews, and event-driven reviews within required timelines
- Assess customer risk profiles and apply appropriate risk classifications with thorough documentation
- Maintain and update KYC checklists, forms, and supporting documents to reflect current regulatory standards
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to resolve documentation, verification, and onboarding issues efficiently
- Ensure KYC practices comply with local and international AML/CFT and sanctions regulations
- Support the Head of Compliance in maintaining and updating AML/CFT policies and procedures
- Monitor regulatory developments and implement necessary changes to KYC procedures and controls
- Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections by providing accurate information and documentation
- Conduct compliance testing activities to identify gaps and recommend improvements
- Identify and escalate potential AML/KYC issues promptly to mitigate risks
- Monitor and report overdue customer reviews to maintain compliance timelines
- Partner with IT and Operations teams to enhance KYC processes, systems, and data quality
- Provide guidance and oversight to a small team to ensure effective execution of KYC activities
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in KYC, Client Onboarding, and/or AML within financial services
- Strong understanding of Singapore AML/CFT regulatory requirements, including MAS Notice 626
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience working with corporate and/or financial institution customers
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to identify, assess, and escalate potential compliance issues
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Proactive, organised, and solution-oriented with the ability to work effectively under pressure
