Job Responsibilities
- Perform Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) on aerospace components in accordance with approved procedures, customer specifications, and industry standards.
- Conduct pre-inspection activities including cleaning, masking, preparation, and handling of components.
- Operate and maintain FPI equipment and inspection systems in accordance with approved work instructions.
- Perform daily process checks and record required process control parameters.
- Examine parts for surface discontinuities and defects, and evaluate inspection results against applicable acceptance criteria.
- Perform visual and non-destructive inspection of weld-repaired components to verify compliance with approved procedures and acceptance criteria.
- Accurately document inspection results and maintain inspection records in accordance with quality and customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements during all inspection activities.
- Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of inspection equipment to ensure continuous operational readiness.
- Support process audits, housekeeping activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance, Production, and Engineering personnel to resolve inspection-related issues.
- Demonstrate willingness and capability to learn, train, and qualify in additional NDT methods and inspection techniques as required by business and customer needs.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager (QAM).
