Analyst, Business Development

JOB SUMMARY

The Analyst, Business Development will play a crucial role in driving growth and expanding the business. The person is responsible for analyzing market trends, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strategies to capitalize on them.

THE ROLE

• Identify business development and investment opportunities that meet the Company's strategic goals and growth objectives.
• Interact with brokers, prospective developers, investors and other consultants on new potential opportunities across markets.
• Prepare initial site and market analyses for new deals including demographic reports, accessibility analysis, maps, competition analysis, and general site information.
• Market research, feasibility studies and manage the underwriting of each project, including gathering and synthesizing critical market and competitor data.
• Drafting and Preparation of deal documentation such as Term sheet, Letter of Intent (LOI) or Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Expression of Interest, NDA etc.
• Assist in the review and negotiation of LOI/MOU/HMA until deal closure.
• Updating existing brand presentations and corporate documents with latest updates and new information.
• Preparing and updating the Deal Pipeline List with key project information and status updates
• Prepare presentations to the Company Board of Directors and members of Senior Management throughout transaction lifecycles, including project information, updates on the transaction, resolving issues and requesting formal approval to proceed with the transaction.
• Assistance with preparation of proposals and pitch materials for prospective opportunities across regions.
• Attend key hotel conferences and seminars to network with key external stakeholders and represent the Company in a professional manner.
• Provide ad hoc analytics and support on any other projects and duties as assigned.

TALENT PROFILE

Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, Finance or equivalent

Work Experience

• At least 2 years of prior relevant experience in hotel or hospitality industries
• Experience in hotel development, feasibility or hotel consulting will be an added advantage

Technical Skills

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal in English
• Ability to multi-task and work simultaneously with different interdisciplinary stakeholders
• Proficiency in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Diligent and ability to work under stringent deadlines
• Good team player
