Lab Assistant

Title: Senior Executive, Technical

Location: Pioneer

Working hour: Mon-Fri 830am-545pm

Salary: Up to $4200 per month

Period: 12 months

• Support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching laboratories by preparing materials and assisting in practical sessions.
• Coordinate laboratory schedules, student attendance, and teaching logistics.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, consumables, inventory, and ensure a safe, clean working environment.
• Liaise with vendors for equipment servicing, maintenance, calibration, and procurement.
• Monitor laboratory budgets, process purchases, and maintain accurate records of assets and chemicals.
• Train new laboratory users on equipment operation and laboratory safety procedures.
• Assist in developing and improving laboratory experiments, SOPs, and risk assessments.
• Provide technical support for student projects, competitions, and other laboratory-related activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Requirements

• A recognized degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biotechnology or a related field. Diploma holder with 3 years’ relevant experience is also considered.
• Experience handling, operating and maintaining scientific & laboratory equipment such as Micro plate reader, Gel imager, microscope, Autoclave, Rheometer, etc.
