Job Summary
Lead and supervise civil and structural engineering works, ensuring compliance with authority requirements and safety standards. Review designs, conduct site inspections, and manage instrumentation monitoring to support project success.
Responsibilities
- Review all Authority's and Contractor's drawings to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Provide all relevant endorsements required by the relevant authorities to facilitate approvals
- Supervise all civil and structural works, both permanent and temporary, to ensure quality and safety
- Verify that contractors have obtained all necessary permits and clearances before work commencement
- Conduct site inspections to ensure contractors implement corrective actions and timely preventive/mitigation measures protecting surrounding structures
- Review, evaluate, and assess all formwork structures and formwork support systems for safety and compliance
- Oversee safety, environmental, and health matters on site to maintain regulatory standards
- Supervise the installation of instrumentation to ensure proper setup and functionality
- Supervise sanitary and plumbing installations, including pump drainage works, to ensure proper execution
- Review, evaluate, and assess the monitoring of instrumentation and interpret results to provide analytical reports and presentations
- Review the Contractor's design and supervise all related works to ensure adherence to specifications
Required competencies and certifications
- Accreditation as a Registered Technical Officer (RTO) by the Institute of Engineers Singapore (IES) and/or Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES)
- Minimum five (5) years of engineering experience in relevant civil and structural works
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or equivalent in engineering or related field
- Skills in organizing, planning, and prioritizing work to meet project deadlines
- Time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks and site activities
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with contractors and authorities
- Proactive, go-getter mindset to drive project progress and resolve issues
