Full Stack Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Full-Stack Engineer to drive the design and development of next-generation digital products while enhancing and modernising existing enterprise platforms.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will take ownership of solution architecture, engineering best practices, and end-to-end product delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to transform business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing applications while mentoring engineers and promoting engineering excellence.

Our technology stack includes Vue 3, TypeScript, AWS CDK, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, SQL databases, and serverless AWS services.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Lead the design, architecture, development, and delivery of enterprise applications from concept through production.
• Drive technical direction and establish engineering standards, coding best practices, and architectural principles.
• Mentor and support engineers through code reviews, technical coaching, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to the overall technology landscape.

Full-Stack Development

• Develop modern frontend applications using Vue 3 and TypeScript.
• Design and build backend services, APIs, and serverless applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS services.
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK.
• Build scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-native applications.

Cloud & Data Engineering

• Design scalable data models using DynamoDB and relational databases.
• Develop and optimise SQL queries, database schemas, indexing strategies, and application performance.
• Build event-driven and serverless solutions using AWS services.

Quality & Operational Excellence

• Improve application performance, scalability, reliability, observability, and security.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment automation.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
• Promote engineering excellence through continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience leading technical initiatives, architecture decisions, or engineering teams.
• Strong background in full-stack application development.
• Experience delivering production-grade cloud-native applications.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Strong experience with Vue 3, or equivalent frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Backend development experience using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with AWS CDK.
• Strong knowledge of:AWS LambdaAPI GatewayDynamoDBServerless Architecture
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Amazon Aurora.
• Strong understanding of:RESTful APIsAuthentication and authorisationRelational database designQuery optimisationEvent-driven architecture

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production deployments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Vue 3 Composition API.
• Experience designing efficient DynamoDB data models and secondary indexes.
• Experience implementing database migrations and schema evolution.
• Experience building resilient asynchronous workflows, retries, and idempotent services.
• Experience with end-to-end testing frameworks such as Playwright.
• Experience integrating enterprise or third-party systems.
• Experience with identity platforms such as AWS Cognito or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codex, or similar.
