Job Summary
The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing client accounting portfolios, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, timely financial reporting, and compliance with Singapore accounting and tax requirements. The role involves handling full sets of accounts, client communication, and collaboration with internal teams to deliver quality accounting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts across various industries, ensuring accurate and timely bookkeeping.
- Prepare full sets of accounts, including Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and balance sheet schedules.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, billing, and payment tracking.
- Prepare and support GST and tax compliance documentation for statutory submissions.
- Maintain and review general ledger accuracy and ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Support and guide junior team members by sharing accounting knowledge and best practices.
- Liaise directly with clients to resolve accounting issues and provide practical financial guidance.
- Work closely with internal teams such as corporate secretarial, tax, and payroll departments to provide integrated client solutions.
- Utilize accounting software and digital tools to improve workflow efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and relevant regulations.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and productivity.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in a professional services or small accounting practice environment.
- Diploma in Accounting, AAT, LCCI, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of full set accounts and bookkeeping processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Xero.
- Good understanding of Singapore accounting standards and tax compliance requirements.
- Able to manage multiple client portfolios and meet deadlines.
