CREPE & WAFFLE COOK

Job Title: Assistant Cook – Crêpes, Waffles & Gelateria

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Assistant Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate must know how to prepare consistently delicious, well-presented crêpes and waffles and be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality sweet and savoury crêpes and waffles.
• Ensure consistency in taste, texture, portion size and presentation.
• Prepare ingredients, batters, toppings, sauces and garnishes.
• Assist with the daily operation of the gelateria, including serving gelato and preparing gelato-based desserts.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies.
• Receive deliveries and check the quality and quantity of all products.
• Follow recipes, portion-control standards and food-cost guidelines.
• Maintain excellent hygiene, cleanliness and food-safety standards.
• Keep the workstation, equipment and storage areas clean and properly organised.
• Minimise food waste and ensure ingredients are stored correctly.
• Support the kitchen team with other food-preparation duties when required.

Requirements

• Proven experience preparing professional-quality crêpes and waffles.
• Previous experience as an Assistant Cook or in a similar kitchen position.
• Experience with gelato or desserts would be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of stock control and ordering.
• Good organisation and time-management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently during busy periods.
• Strong attention to quality, presentation and cleanliness.
• Positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
• Availability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
