Resident Architect cum Architectural Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Resident Architect cum Architectural Coordinator to supervise and coordinate architectural works for a major construction project. The role will ensure that site activities comply with approved drawings, LTA specifications, quality standards, and relevant authority requirements.

Job Scope

• Review, update, and coordinate architectural drawings, specifications, and construction details.

• Supervise and inspect architectural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project requirements, and LTA specifications.

• Monitor construction quality, workmanship, materials, safety, and environmental compliance.

• Conduct regular site inspections, identify discrepancies or defects, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

• Coordinate architectural works with structural, M&E, civil, and other project disciplines to resolve design and construction conflicts.

• Liaise with contractors, consultants, clients, authorities, and internal project teams on technical and site-related matters.

• Ensure architectural works comply with BCA requirements, applicable building regulations, authority submissions, and project standards.

• Maintain site inspection records, architectural documentation, progress updates, and outstanding action logs.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports highlighting construction progress, quality concerns, risks, and potential delays.

• Attend technical and coordination meetings and support inspections or audits conducted by relevant authorities.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Building Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant architectural experience, including at least 5 years in construction supervision for projects of comparable scale and complexity in Singapore.

• Experience in LTA, MRT, HDB, infrastructure, or other large-scale construction projects is preferred.

• Main contractor experience would be advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, site supervision, construction methods, and authority requirements.

• Able to read and interpret architectural, structural, M&E, and construction drawings.

• Familiar with BCA requirements, Singapore building practices, and architectural quality-control procedures.

• Good written communication, reporting, coordination, and interpersonal skills.

• Able to work independently and be stationed full-time at the project site for the required project period.
