Client is a leader in a Life Sciences Engineering & Automation Consultancy solutions in Singapore, seeking to hire a yearly renewable Benchtop Support Engineer.

Your new role

We are seeking a Benchtop Support Engineer with intermediate experience in lab/analytical instrument support.

  • Provide first-level technical support for a wide range of laboratory and benchtop analytical instruments, including HPLC, GC, balances, pH meters, spectrophotometers, and titrators.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance, calibration verification, and troubleshooting activities to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Diagnose, document, and resolve instrument-related issues, escalating complex technical faults to external vendors or specialists when required.
  • Support equipment qualification and validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) in accordance with site procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and GMP-compliant documentation, including equipment logbooks, maintenance records, and calibration reports.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, calibration schedules, and service activities with laboratory users, planners, and third-party service providers.
  • Manage and monitor spare parts and consumables inventory to support uninterrupted laboratory operations.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS, data integrity, quality standards, and regulatory requirements across all maintenance and support activities.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related technical discipline; equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Prior experience supporting benchtop and analytical laboratory instrumentation within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated laboratory environments.
  • Practical knowledge of GMP requirements, equipment calibration, maintenance, and qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).
