About the organisation
United Women Singapore Limited (UWS) is a local non-profit organisation with IPC status that advances women’s empowerment and gender equality and builds a pipeline of women leaders and influencers in Singapore. The organisation has been operating for over 27 years and works towards narrowing the gender equality gap through education and raising awareness and advocacy on issues such as women’s empowerment and anti-violence, with the support of key stakeholders including corporate partners, government agencies, academia, the diplomatic community, other non-profit and community groups and the wider community.
Job Title: Associate, Programmes
Reports to: Assistant Manager, Programmes and Impact
Job Purpose
Support the UWS Programmes team for outreach and implementation of programme touch-points and programme-related events that support the mission of the organisation. The role will involve working with various stakeholders, facilitating / coordinating activities and workshops for the programmes.
Programmes Planning and Execution
● Support the Programmes team in the outreach plan to target beneficiaries, and beneficiary groups to participate in the programmes, including schools, Institutes of Higher Learning and related organisations in the community
● Assist in scheduling and undertaking outreach activities (cold calls, calls with existing contacts, etc.) to recruit beneficiaries for the programmes
● Help with research to identify suitable content providers, trainers and resources for the programmes and liaise with these content providers, where necessary
● Assist in the planning and implementation of workshops, activities and events as per the target audience’s schedule and preferred format of delivery for programme execution including, but not limited to, developing invitations and registering guests
● Coordinate with the scheduling of meetings, execution of programme sessions, touch-points and events
● Be comfortable with logistics and event management for large programme events
● Conduct programme evaluation surveys and client satisfaction surveys to evaluate the outputs and outcomes of the programme
● Maintain an up to date register of beneficiaries, vendors and trainers related to the programmes and ensure regular updates on the CRM system
General Programmes Support
● Coordinate the creation of programmes promotional and information collaterals such as posters, brochures, pamphlets and newsletter updates for direct communications with stakeholders and for the regular upload to social media channels
● Develop information materials for distribution to beneficiaries and volunteers
● Liaise with the beneficiaries and partners for programme touch-points, scheduling meetings, catch-up sessions with mentors, keeping track of the registration / withdrawal of programme participants, among others
● Coordinate communication and feedback from stakeholders, and maintain a constant feedback loop with them to make sure that the programmes are aligned with the stated objectives
● Other duties as assigned
Skills & Competencies
● A committed individual who is resourceful, proactive and responsible
● Has strong passion and a genuine interest in youth development, the social service sector and to be client-centric
● Able to work with various voluntary welfare organisations, communities and institutional settings, as well as the local educational institutions, and nurture relationships
● Be prepared to work on selected Saturdays for programme workshops/events (with compensatory time off available)
● Ability to plan and multi-task, able to meet the deadlines and KPIs
● Good data management and analytical skills
● Good written and verbal communication skills
● Willingness and confidence to learn new skills aligning with the organisation’s needs
● Passionate about making a positive difference for under-served youth, and be self-driven
● Work or volunteer experience with social service agencies will bean added advantage
● Must be Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
Qualifications
● Degree / Diploma in a related field
● 1-3 years’ experience; fresh graduates with the right attitude will also be considered
