Senior UKG Functional Consultant –Workforce Management

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior UKGFunctional Consultant to lead the configuration and optimisation of the UKGWorkforce Management solution. The consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring, testing, and supporting workforce management processes, including employee scheduling, workflow approvals, document generation, security, and business process automation.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, HR, Payroll, and IT teams to deliver scalable and efficient workforce management solutions aligned with business requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Workforce Management

• Configure and maintain UKG Workforce Management modules.
• Design and configure employee scheduling and rostering.
• Configure shift patterns, work rules, pay rules, and scheduling policies.
• Support leave, availability, and time management processes.

Workflow Configuration

• Configure workflow approvals for HR and workforce management transactions.
• Design approval hierarchies and routing rules.
• Configure notifications, alerts, and escalations.
• Troubleshoot workflow issues and recommend improvements.

Document Generation

• Configure document and letter templates.
• Generate employment-related documents such as contracts, roster notifications, and employee correspondence.
• Ensure document templates comply with organisational standards.

System Configuration

• Configure organisational structures, locations, departments, jobs, and security roles.
• Configure business rules and validation rules.
• Maintain system configuration documentation.
• Perform configuration migration across environments.

Testing & Support

• Prepare test scenarios and execute functional testing.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Investigate and resolve production issues.
• Provide post-implementation support.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Gather and analyse business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into UKG solutions.
• Conduct workshops with business users.
• Deliver end-user training and knowledge transfer.

Continuous Improvement

• Recommend system enhancements.
• Identify opportunities for process automation.
• Ensure solutions align with UKG best practices.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of UKG (formerly Kronos) implementation and configuration experience.
• Strong experience with UKG Workforce Management.
• Scheduling and Rostering

• Experience supporting HR and Payroll business processes.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with UKG Pro Workforce Management or UKG Ready.
• Experience integrating UKG with HRIS and Payroll systems.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and system integrations.
• Experience working in retail, healthcare, logistics, or large workforce environments.
• Agile project delivery experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).
• UKG certifications are highly desirable.
• Relevant HRIS or Workforce Management certifications are advantageous.

Preferred Consultant Profile

The ideal consultant will have end-to-end UKG implementation experience and be capable of independently configuring workforce scheduling, approval workflows, and document generation while engaging effectively with business stakeholders. They should be able to translate business requirements into practical UKG solutions, lead workshops, support testing and deployment, and provide post-go-live support with minimal supervision.
