The Financial Accounts Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations through the management of accounting transactions, inventory controls, reconciliations, compliance reporting, and master data governance. This role offers valuable exposure to end-to-end finance processes, ERP systems, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced multinational environment.
The incumbent is responsible for operational accounting & financial functions of Company's account and maintenance of internal control system and generation of financial and management data and reports.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of invoices, payments, collections and financial transactions.
- Review and validate supporting documentation to ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Maintain and update foreign exchange rates and support foreign currency revaluation activities.
- Maintain accurate financial records and master data within the SAP B1 while supporting continuous process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Perform timely reconciliation of bank accounts, intercompany balances, general ledger accounts, and sub-ledgers to ensure the integrity and completeness of financial records.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation variances, outstanding items, and accounting discrepancies in a proactive manner.
- Support cash flow monitoring, treasury activities, and working capital management through effective cash and account oversight.
- Support the preparation, reconciliation, and submission of Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
- Assist with withholding tax computation, filing, and reporting to ensure timely regulatory compliance.
- Maintain proper tax documentation and support tax audits or queries from relevant authorities when required.
- Prepare financial analyses, reconciliations, variance reports and accounting schedules to support accurate financial reporting and closing activities to support business and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Drive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and account reconciliations.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data in compliance with accounting standards and corporate reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/SFRS(I)/GAAP), corporate policies, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain strong internal controls and support risk management initiatives to safeguard company assets and financial data integrity.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules, documentation, and responding to audit queries in a timely manner.
- Serve as a trusted finance partner and primary point of contact for internal departments, vendors, customers, and external stakeholders on financial matters.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, supply chain, HR, procurement, and regional teams to ensure smooth financial operations and issue resolution.
- Provide professional support and guidance on financial processes, policies, and system-related inquiries.
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for the Associate Financial Accounts Specialist role.
- Minimum 3 - 8 years of relevant Financial Accounting experience, preferably in a multinational corporation (MNC), will be considered for the Senior Financial Accounts Specialist role.
- Strong knowledge of Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and month-end closing processes.
- Good understanding of IFRS/SFRS(I), GST, Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Experience in account reconciliations, balance sheet schedules, and financial reporting activities.
- Proficiency in SAP Business One (SAP B1) or other ERP systems is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Power Query, and financial data analysis.
- Knowledge of internal controls, audit requirements, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in master data management, including vendor, customer, and financial master data maintenance.
- Exposure to finance process improvement initiatives, automation, and system enhancement projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
