General Manager
UNITED PEST & VECTOR MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD.
About the Role
We are a Singapore pest control company looking for ahands-on General Manager to run the business day to day and grow it through digital marketing and data-driven decisions.
You will own the profit-and-loss account, generate leads online, keep a small field team scheduled, safe and productive, and be measured on revenue, gross margin, cost per acquired customer and customer retention. This is a working role — you will meet customers, inspect sites and quote jobs yourself, not manage from a desk.
Pest control experience is an advantage, but we are open to strong operations and commercial managers from other service or field-based industries.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Service Delivery
• Plan and oversee residential, commercial and emergency pest control jobs
• Schedule technicians daily by workload, location, treatment type and urgency
• Review job sheets, service reports and treatment records; monitor callback rate and service quality
• Manage stock and procurement of chemicals, baits, equipment, PPE and vehicles
• Conduct site inspections, prepare quotations and support the team in the field when demand is high
Sales & Customer Management
• Convert enquiries from online, phone and referral channels into confirmed jobs
• Quote and negotiate one-off treatments and recurring contracts while protecting margin
• Target F&B outlets, offices, warehouses, retail, condominiums, construction sites and property managers
• Handle escalated complaints, warranty claims and service recovery personally
• Conduct service reviews with contract customers and secure renewals

• Own the company's website, Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp Business presence
• Run Google Ads and Meta / TikTok Ads: budgets, targeting, creative testing, bid management
• Manage local SEO — service pages, location pages, reviews, structured data
• Produce short-form video and photo content on site; use AI tools for scripting, editing, voice-over, subtitles and copywriting
• Respond to enquiries, reviews and messages across all channels within defined response times
Data, Reporting & Automation
• Build and maintain a Power BI dashboard covering revenue, gross margin, job costs, lead sources, conversion, technician utilisation and receivables
• Consolidate data from accounting, CRM, Google Analytics 4, Search Console and ad platforms into one reporting model

• Ensure compliance with NEA licensing, vector control requirements, WSH obligations, chemical handling rules and PDPA
• Recruit, train, schedule and supervise technicians, sales and admin staff
Requirements — Essential
• Experience supervising or coordinating a team in a service, field-operations or trade business — we are interested in what you have run and what you achieved, not the number of years on your resume
• Abilityto plan and schedule a field team, and to keep jobs running on time and to standard
• Confidence dealing with customers directly — site visits, quotations, negotiation and complaint handling
• Commercial judgement: comfortable with pricing, costs, margin and chasing outstanding payments
• Willingness to be hands-on and work outside an office; this is not a desk-based management role
• Willingness to learn the technical side of pest control and obtain the relevant certification
• Valid Class 3 driving licence — the role requires independent travel to customer sites islandwide
• Strong spoken and written English — required for customer proposals, regulatory documentation and all marketing output

• Familiarity with NEA licensing, vector control requirements and inspection documentation

• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with business data and reports
• Practical use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude or similar) for content, copywriting and analysis
• Power BI dashboard building, Power Query and DAX
• Short-form video production and editing
• WordPressor CMS website management, basic HTML / CSS, tracking implementation
• Workflow automation (Zapier, Make, n8n, Google Apps Script)

• Budget for tools, software and training
• Support to obtain pest management certification and technical training if you are new to the trade
