Manufacturing Supervisor (O&G/West/5k/5 days)

Responsibilities

• To ensure the manufacturing cell to achieve maximize productivity on manufacturing throughput.
• Promote safe work environment through equipment usage, process design and proper housekeeping.
• Involve in continuous improve in manufacturing processes by working collaboratively with all other departments and cell members.
• To perform trouble-shooting for all technical issues during manufacture production orders.
• Participate in NCR rework investigation and work with Engineering and cell members to perform corrective action.
• To achieve a shorter lead time process flow by working with the in process QC technician.
• To train and guide operator for critical setup for rubber moulding parts. With reference to manufacturing procedures that generate by Engineering instruction.
• Capture every individual production press operator correct clocking hours in M3 and rectify any wrong clocking hour data by operators.
• Ensure all production works followed strictly to each individual Work instruction and provide cross training plan yearly.
• Help to motivate and build quality output concept to all press operators.
• To ensure all production machines and equipment are correctly and appropriately used.
• To rectify and repair any machine/ equipment breakdown.
• To in charge of the press mold machines maintenance and provide periodical service by either internally or arrange externally support if needed.
• To ensure all mold set are in proper storage and mold list are updated accordingly.
• To own the OEE cell result and to achieve better performance.
• To ensure API procedure are following and maintain within the cell.
• To coordinate with supply chain on material and services needed.
• To coordinate with first articles, prototype testing new parts or processes, API/Customer Audits.
• To promote and own 5S inspection within the cell weekly.

Requirements

• Diploma /Degree in any discipline on manufacturing or mechanical Engineering.
• Prefer to have a minimum 5 years' experience of relevant role in production environment
• Working knowledge of Production flow control regarding to rubber compound and moulding operation.
• Knowledge and experience as a production supervisor or production engineering handling operators.
• Ability to comprehend Engineering Drawings, Geometric Dimensioning &Tolerancing is an advantage.
• Ability to use MS office or some planning software for assisting planning High mix low volume production.
• Have experience to promote 5S or LEAN manufacturing knowledge in production area.
