Warehouse Operations Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to take full strategic ownership of site-level logistics operations. In this pivotal role, you will drive operational excellence by optimizing warehouse workflows, integrating automation technologies, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. As the primary commercial and operational interface for key clients, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to drive contract growth, ensure financial accountability, and uphold the highest standards of compliance and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Leadership

• Direct all site-level warehouse operations, including layout optimization, workflow design, and the seamless adoption of automation to enhance efficiency.

• Champion Lean Six Sigma methodologies and digital transformation projects to elevate productivity, quality, and service performance.

Financial & Commercial Management

• Assume full accountability for the site P&L, including budget planning, cost control, and resource allocation.

• Drive aggressive cost management by reviewing overtime, third-party expenditures, and identifying cost-effective operational alternatives.

• Approve operational purchases, equipment requisitions, and third-party costs up to SGD 50,000 (or equivalent delegated authority).

• Serve as the primary operational liaison for customers, supporting the Senior Manager / Sales team in contract renewals, scope expansions, and commercial negotiations.

Compliance & Workforce Planning

• Ensure strict adherence to all local regulatory requirements, including the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, MOM guidelines, and SCDF regulations.

• Conduct comprehensive performance reviews, manage headcount forecasting, and allocate manpower effectively based on long-term volume trends.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of lease agreements, pricing models, service-level agreements (SLAs), and penalty structures.

• Analytical Proficiency: Advanced capability in complex data modeling and the use of visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to inform strategic decision-making.

• Executive Communication: Exceptional presentation skills, with proven experience leading customer Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and high-level internal steering committee meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.

• 5–8 years of managerial experience in Contract Logistics, with a demonstrable track record in:

• Full P&L ownership and financial stewardship.

• Leading Lean/Six Sigma process improvement initiatives.

Managing large, cross-functional teams in a high-volume operational environment.
