Key Responsibilities and Authorities

• Planning

1. Plan and convert sales order received from Sales department into process orders and to schedule these orders according to resource availability.

2. Perform resources, equipment and manpower scheduling to ensure sufficient manpower is always available to meet production demand.

3. Daily check of equipment and manpower availability and scheduling of overtime if necessary to meet production target.

4. Perform periodic stock demand and consumption analysis to ensure sufficiency of raw material, intermediates and packaging material within Singapore plant and discuss with Purchasers to revise safety stock if necessary.

5. Perform daily check on inventory of raw material, intermediates and packaging material as part of the material staging and to ensure material sufficiency in advance of production schedule.

6. Communicate with other departments such as Logistic and Maintenance to resolve issues that hinders productivity and output.

7. Lead the production scale-up workflow together with R&D and QC department.

8. Communicate with Sales and Purchasers department to resolve issues to minimise delivery lead time at the lowest possible cost.

9. To ensure correctness of delivery labels and any special instruction that is required for every delivery are well-communicated and executed.

10. To coordinate with Sample production department to resolve orders and inventory issues and to provide any necessary resources to support sampling activities when necessary.

  1. Liaise with the Logistics team to ensure raw and packaging materials are being transferred to the production in advance so as to enable the processing of orders on a timely basis.

12. Perform additional tasked roles as part of the organisation requirements.

· Leading

  1. Communicate with supervisors and operators by on expected production targets base on incoming sales orders.

  2. Lead periodic meetings and training session with supervisors and operators as part of productivity improvement initiative.

  3. Maintain close contact with Sales department, Purchasers department as well as Logistic department to resolve issue early once identified and to bring it to the notice of management if necessary.

  4. To take be actively involved as part of the Productivity Improvement Team and to implement productivity/process improvement methodologies such as 5S, COQ, Kaizen or Six Sigma.

  5. To lead team on fostering a culture of safety, quality and operational excellence.

· Controlling

  1. Check on daily completion of process orders and ensure orders are fulfilled as per schedule.

  2. To perform closure of process orders in a timely manner and make revision to production instruction if necessary as part of continuous improvement plan.

  3. To make revision to production versions when deem necessary and to communicate with HQ for revisions that can only be done by them.

  4. To check the accuracy and perform filing of paper records which are used in the recording of process parameter or CCPs.

  5. Act as point of communication with QC, or other related departments to derive root cause and corrective actions on all quality rejections. To recommend preventive actions and seek advice or approval from management if necessary.

  6. Ensure the office and production inventory are well maintained in accordance to the inventory plan and perform stock correction as required.

  7. Provide reports and activity updates to management when requested.

· Enforcing

  1. Ensure that manufacturing information are completed in the process orders and to communicate these information to supervisors and operators ensuring that they understand these information and to act in accordance to specific process steps and standard operation procedures (SOP) stated.

  2. Ensure that personal hygiene of operators and ensure the performance of good manufacturing practices by operators.

  3. Ensure that process orders with potential hazardous process or chemicals are well communicated to the production team and to ensure that operators adopt a safe and healthy working behaviour, wearing of PPEs and to correct and report on all observed hazards and safety non-compliances.

· Other Responsibilities

1. May be tasked to liaise with the QC/QA management to ensure the Production premises are being maintained in accordance to the GMP & HACCP standards set by Silesia management;

2. To involve as active member of the FSSC 22000 food safety team and participate in the following activities:

- Conducts internal audit/s on a department or function as assigned by the Food Safety Team leader;

- Follows up on the findings as revealed in the internal audit conducted on the activities of the Maintenance department and undertakes the appropriate corrective actions;

Qualifications and Experience

· Min. Diploma or higher with at least 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing industry
