SERVICE ASSISTANT (RESTAURANT)

We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and service-oriented Customer Service Assistant to join our Restaurant & Catering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, handling dine-in and catering enquiries, processing orders, coordinating with the kitchen and operations team, and ensuring a smooth customer experience from enquiry to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide professional, friendly service.

• Respond promptly to customer enquiries via phone, email, messaging platforms, and social media.

• Take and process restaurant reservations, takeaway, delivery, and catering orders accurately.

• Prepare quotations, invoices, and confirmations for catering events.

• Coordinate with the kitchen, operations, and delivery teams to ensure timely order preparation and fulfilment.

• Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally.

• Assist customers with menu recommendations, dietary requirements, and event planning.

• Follow up with customers to confirm orders and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Maintain accurate customer records and update order management systems.

• Support daily restaurant and catering administrative duties.

• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and company service standards.

• Perform other duties assigned by the Restaurant Manager or Catering Manager.

• Minimum 10 years of proven working experience in the Restaurant & Catering industry is mandatory.
• At least 10 years of experience in customer service, restaurant operations, catering coordination, or hospitality services.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service mindset with a positive and professional attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and POS/order management systems.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when required.
• Able to communicate in English; additional languages or dialects are an advantage.
