Software Developer - Java

Job Scope

Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions for financial services platforms, leveraging modern engineering practices, Agile methodologies, and cloud-native development principles. Work closely with regional and global teams to deliver high-quality applications and drive technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance scalable applications using Java/Scala following OOP and Functional Programming principles.
• Design and implement solutions utilizing Event Sourcing and CQRS architectures.
• Collaborate with global teams to deliver platform enhancements and new functionalities.
• Apply software engineering best practices including TDD, CI/CD, Clean Code, and Design Patterns.
• Write and maintain BDD/ATDD feature files and specifications.
• Utilize SDLC and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, GitHub, Artifactory, and Ansible.
• Optimize application performance and improve code quality.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior developers and communicate technical solutions effectively with stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Financial Services technology.
• Strong hands-on development experience in Java and/or Scala.
• Solid understanding of OOP, Functional Programming, Event Sourcing, and CQRS.
• Experience with Design Patterns, software engineering best practices, and code optimization.
• Proficiency in TDD, BDD/ATDD, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Experience with Jenkins, Gradle, GitHub, Artifactory, and Ansible.
• Agile/Scrum experience.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with ReactJS, AngularJS, or Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge of AMPS messaging infrastructure and SQL/Database programming.
• Understanding of Capital Markets, particularly securities trading, clearing, and settlements.
