Arts Teacher

My Little Gems Preschool is looking for a passionate Freelance Visual Arts Enrichment Teacher to conduct a weekly arts enrichment programme for preschool children aged 4–6 years.

Teaching Schedule

• Once a week, Monday
• 4.00 pm – 6.00 pm

About the Programme

We believe that art is a language through which children explore, create and express themselves. Our arts programme aims to expose children to a rich variety of artistic experiences while nurturing creativity, confidence and an appreciation of beauty.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct engaging visual arts lessons for preschool children.
• Introduce children to a variety of art media, including drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, clay, recycled materials and mixed media.
• Teach the elements of art, such as line, shape, colour, texture, form, space and pattern, through hands-on exploration.
• Introduce children to famous artists and iconic artworks, inspiring them to appreciate different artistic styles and techniques.
• Explore different art genres, such as realism, impressionism, abstract art, cubism, pop art, folk art and contemporary art, in age-appropriate ways.
• Encourage creativity, imagination, observation and self-expression through process-based learning.
• Prepare lesson materials and maintain a safe, organised classroom environment.

Requirements

• Experience teaching visual arts to preschoolers
• Passion for working with young children.
• Creative, patient and engaging.
• Able to design meaningful lessons using a variety of media and artistic techniques.
• Qualifications in Fine Arts, Art Education or Early Childhood Education are an advantage.
