AWARE is Singapore’s leading gender equality advocacy organisation. For nearly 40 years, we have worked to identify and eliminate gender barriers through research, advocacy, education, and support services, including the Sexual Assault Care Centre and Women’s Helpline.

We are looking for a detail-orientated, and proactive finance executive to support our daily operations.

Job title: Finance Executive

Reports to: Finance Manager

Location: Hybrid (Singapore)

Salary: $3,500-4,300/month

Key Responsibilities

Payment Processing

  • Prepare and process monthly payment summary sheets and staff expense claims according to the Finance payment cycle.
  • Process accounts payable transactions and maintain supporting payment documentation.
  • Financial Records & Reconciliation

  • Update accounting records in QuickBooks Online in a timely manner.

  • Manage routine finance operations, including invoice processing, Volopay subscriptions and expense reconciliations.

  • Prepare donations, counselling income, membership data for import into QBO

  • Prepare reconciliation schedules to support income processing and process account receivable and invoice issuance in QBO where required.

  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and supporting journal entries.

  • Month-End & Finance Administration

  • Support month-end closing activities, management reporting, variance quarterly reporting.

  • Assist with banking administration, donation tracking (cash & cheque) and finance correspondence.

  • Maintain finance records, filing systems and supporting documentation.

  • Perform other operational finance and administrative duties as assigned.

Who We Are Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
  • At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within the non-profit, charity, or social sector.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and administrative tools.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
