As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will design, develop and validate advanced electronic systems, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to bring innovative medical technologies from concept to commercialization while making a meaningful impact on patient care. Position title and compensation will be commensurate with experience and technical capability.

Role & Responsibilities
Electrical Design
- Design analog, digital, power and mixed-signal electronic circuits.
- Develop electrical architecture for medical robotic systems.
- Design and review schematics and PCB layouts.
- Support prototype bring-up, debugging and design verification.
System Integration
- Integrate hardware with embedded firmware and software.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware/system issues.
- Support electrical safety, EMC and regulatory testing.
Product Development
- Participate throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
- Support design reviews, design verification and validation.
- Prepare engineering documentation and design records.
- Support manufacturing transfer and production ramp-up.
- Support risk management, design reviews, design transfer, DFM/DFT, supplier engagement, production qualification, and product sustaining activities.
- Design, testing and qualify PCBA/ module in accordance with design specification.
- Plan and support external laboratory testing for electrical safety and EMC, including radiated and conducted emissions and immunity; assess results and drive technical closure of findings.
Continuous Improvement
- Support investigation of production and field issues using structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis; implement effective corrective or design-improvement actions.
- Drive design improvements and engineering changes.
- Support supplier qualification and component lifecycle management.
- Work with systems, firmware, software, and mechanical engineers to manage interfaces and resolve cross-disciplinary design issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of product development experience.
- Sound knowledge of analog and digital electronics, power supplies, microcontroller-based systems, sensors, actuators, and common wired communication interfaces.
- Hands-on capability with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers, electronic loads, and other relevant test equipment.
- Ability to understand embedded-system behaviour and collaborate effectively with firmware engineers.
- Electrical safety and EMC standards for medical electrical equipment, particularly IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60601-1-2.
- Design controls and risk management within an ISO 13485 quality system, including familiarity with ISO 14971.
- Practical experience with schematic capture and PCB-layout tools.
- Ability to isolate faults systematically, interpret data, document evidence, and convert findings into robust design improvements.
- Able to work independently while communicating effectively across engineering, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, purchasing, service, and supplier teams.
