Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of staff in the section in handling day-to-day financial matters, month-end and year-end accounts closing, including the preparation and/or review of the monthly, quarterly and year-end audit schedules and financial reporting packages
• Responsible for the good quality of the balance sheet
• Review internal charge and reclassification requests
• Review bank reconciliation and resolve reconciling items
• Review miscellaneous receipts and follow up on unaccounted sums
• Investigate and resolve user’s queries
• Responsible for GST and other statistical submissions
• Liaise with internal and external auditors on audit matters
• Liaise with tax agent on corporate tax and GST matters
• Work with Grants and Intercompany teams to resolve issues
• Lead and participate in process improvement projects
• Ad-hoc assignments

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline
• Relevant experience in General Ledger (GL) accounting and financial reporting
• Familiar with month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit processes
• Knowledge of GST and corporate tax matters is advantageous
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Able to work independently and lead a team when required
