Decoration & Event Setup Crew (Part-Time, Senior-Friendly)

Alangkaar Pte Ltd — one of Singapore's busiest Indian wedding and event decoration teams — is hiring PART-TIME Decoration & Event Setup Crew on an ongoing monthly basis. Mature and senior jobseekers are welcome; we hire for reliability and care, not age.

You will be part of the team that turns an empty ballroom, hotel function room or void deck into a finished wedding stage. Every job comes with a written decoration plan and layout drawing — your job is to follow that plan exactly, safely and on time.

WHAT YOU WILL DO - Load and unload decoration materials, backdrops, frames, drapes, props, flowers and furniture from our Woodlands store to the event venue - Set up stages, backdrops, arches, walkways, table settings, drapery and lighting strictly according to the decoration plan and layout drawing provided for each event - Measure, align and level structures so the finished setup matches the approved design - Work safely with ladders, trolleys, hand tools and truss/frame components; follow all venue and WSH safety rules - Report any damaged, missing or wrong item to the site supervisor before setup begins - Tear down after the event, pack materials properly, and return everything to the store in good condition - Keep the store tidy — sort, label and re-stock decoration items between events

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR - Able to read and follow a decoration plan / layout drawing (we will train you on how ours are drawn) - Comfortable with physical work: standing, lifting, bending, working at height on a ladder - Punctual and dependable — setup timings are fixed by the venue and cannot be missed - Team player with a careful eye for detail and finishing - No prior experience required. On-the-job training is provided. Prior experience in decoration, renovation, carpentry, stage/AV setup, exhibition build-up, banquet setup or general handyman work is an advantage - Able to work weekends and evenings (that is when most events happen)

HOURS & PAY - Hourly rate: S$10 to S$15 per hour depending on experience and the tasks you can handle - Two commitment options — tell us which suits you: (a) Casual: about 15 hours per week, mostly Saturday and Sunday — roughly S$850 per month (b) Regular: about 25 to 38 hours per week including weekday preparation — roughly S$1,650 per month - Roster is confirmed in advance so you can plan your week - CPF contributions, paid public holiday and leave entitlements apply in accordance with the Employment Act and CPF Act for eligible employees

WHERE - Store and reporting point: 15 Woodlands Loop, Singapore 738322 (near Admiralty MRT) - Event venues across Singapore — hotels, ballrooms, community clubs, function halls. Company transport is provided from the store to the venue
