Merchant Engagement Officer (1 Year)

Job Scope

• End-to-end merchant and partner management

Provides ongoing, volume-driven operational and relationship management for merchants and partners under client's Scheme. This includes account servicing of more than 200 merchants, recruitment support, pipeline tracking, governance oversight and issue resolution.

• Account servicing and stakeholder coordination

Delivers consistent account servicing to merchants and partners, serves as a key liaison between external stakeholders and internal teams in ensuring operational matters are coordinated and resolved in a timely manner.

• Merchant recruitment and retention support

Supports the identification, assessment and onboarding of suitable merchants, while maintaining regular engagement with existing partners to strengthen retention and ensure relationship continuity. On average, there will be a refresher of about 15% of the merchant base on a yearly base.

• Governance, tracking and time-sensitive follow-through

Anchors governance and performance tracking by maintaining the merchant pipeline, monitoring the progress of leads and negotiations and ensuring compliance with contractual terms. During peak periods such as campaigns, renewals and engagement initiatives, the role requires close, sustained and time-sensitive follow-through.

Requirements

Experience

At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in merchant/partner management, account servicing or stakeholder coordination.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with merchants and stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines
• Detail-oriented with good follow-through and coordination capabilities
• Able to work in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM or tracking tools is an advantage
• Basic data tracking and reporting skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
