Take on a strategic leadership role in shaping a safe, resilient, and compliant healthcare environment. We are seeking a Senior Manager, Fire Safety & Workplace Safety Management to drive safety excellence by embedding fire protection, workplace safety, and emergency preparedness principles into infrastructure planning, operational processes, and compliance frameworks.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring safety considerations are integrated from the early planning stages through daily operations, minimising risks while supporting regulatory readiness and operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
Fire Safety Management
- Develop and oversee comprehensive fire safety management strategies, policies, and programmes.
- Review infrastructure plans and building designs to ensure alignment with fire safety codes and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities to support approvals and compliance throughout project stages.
- Plan and coordinate fire drills, training programmes, and safety awareness initiatives.
- Ensure fire safety practices are effectively integrated into operational workflows.
Workplace Safety & Risk Management
- Drive workplace safety initiatives to support a safe and sustainable working environment.
- Review operational layouts, workflows, and facilities to identify potential hazards and recommend risk mitigation measures.
- Provide guidance on workplace safety controls, ergonomic considerations, safety systems, and preventive measures.
- Develop and enhance workplace safety policies in line with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Conduct reviews to strengthen safety performance and promote continuous improvement.
Emergency Preparedness & Business Resilience
- Support the development and implementation of emergency preparedness strategies, policies, and training programmes.
- Review infrastructure and operational plans to enhance emergency response capabilities, including evacuation readiness, communication systems, and critical support facilities.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to conduct readiness assessments and improve response procedures.
- Support the review and testing of emergency response plans to ensure operational resilience.
Regulatory Compliance & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a key liaison with relevant authorities and stakeholders on fire safety, workplace safety, and regulatory matters.
- Provide expert advice to ensure compliance requirements are incorporated into planning and operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation to support licensing, audits, and regulatory readiness.
- Partner with internal teams to drive safety standards and compliance excellence.
Requirements
- Recognised certification as a SCDF Fire Safety Manager.
- MOM-recognised Workplace Safety & Health Officer certification is preferred.
- Degree in any discipline with relevant experience managing safety, compliance, or facilities-related functions.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations, workplace safety standards, building codes, and emergency preparedness frameworks.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management, risk assessment, and implementing safety improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
- Able to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Proactive, resilient, and solutions-oriented with strong decision-making capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant digital tools for documentation and reporting.
