SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER (US MFG/EAST)

Summary

This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing scalable software and test solutions to support automated manufacturing systems. The incumbent will design and integrate hardware and software solutions, ensuring robust system performance, reliability, and alignment with customer and production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize scalable software and automated test solutions to enhance manufacturing system performance and reliability
• Design and integrate hardware and software components to meet production and customer requirements
• Analyze product and system issues collaboratively with Production, Engineering, and cross-functional Business Units to identify root causes and implement effective improvements
• Manage external software development partners throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept to deployment and ongoing maintenance
• Apply programming skills in NI-LabVIEW, NI-Test Stand, LabView, C#, C++, and Python to develop and maintain test engineering solutions
• Utilize Industrial automation knowledge to support test development in a manufacturing environment
• Leverage AI platforms such as Codex to support coding activities and improve software development efficiency
• Explore and apply RPA tools like Microsoft Power Automate to enhance automation processes (preferred)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelors degree in software engineering, IT, computer science or equivalent
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in Test engineering, test development in a manufacturing environment
• Recent graduates are welcome to apply
