ACCOUNTING MANAGER (EXCLUDING TAX)

Job Description & Requirements

An Accounting Manager in Construction firm

oversees daily accounting operations, leading a team to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance and strong internal controls, while also preparing budgets, analyzing financial data, managing audits, and providing insights to leadership to support business decisions

Key duties include financial statement preparation, cash flow management, staff supervision, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting : Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Team Leadership : Manage, train, and mentor accounting staff, delegating tasks and overseeing daily operations.
• Compliance & Controls : Ensure adherence to financial regulations, implement internal controls, and manage audits.
• Budgeting & Forecasting : Develop, monitor, and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Process Improvement : Establish and refine accounting policies, procedures, and systems, often seeking automation.
• Data Analysis : Analyze financial data to provide insights and support strategic decision-making for executives.
• Stakeholder Communication : Collaborate with other departments and communicate financial information to senior management.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science in Accounting or Administarion or Mangagment
• Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and tax laws.
• Proficiency with accounting software
• Analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant experience (often 5 years) in accounting roles.
